Our Mission
To promote best practices in pastoral planning for the Church’s evangelizing mission through research, lived experience, and dialogue with both practitioners and the academy; to foster a more synodal approach to parish leadership; and to advocate for the essential role of the diocesan and parish pastoral councils in effective planning.
About Diocesan Planners
The Diocesan Planners Network brings together those responsible for pastoral planning in the Roman Catholic dioceses of the United States to collaborate, share best practices, and support one another.
Our members are diocesan directors of planning, parish vitality and evangelization, vicars general, vicars for clergy, chancellors, bishops, and others entrusted with planning for the future of the local Church. We are joined by others who support our mission, including academics, pastors, parish leaders, non-profit partners, consultants, and others.
